PROINSO PV RACK to launch in South Africa
One of the largest integrator and distributor companies of solar components in the world, PROINSO is set to strengthen its presence and penetration in the South African photovoltaic market with the launch of PROINSO PV RACK.
Drawing on a heritage of over 1.7GW across projects worldwide, PROINSO PV RACK is one of simplest roof top structures to assemble on the PV market and takes just a few minutes to construct and mount. PROINSO PV RACK will be available to installers across South Africa from September 2015.

UK company PROINSO shortlisted for prestigious global solar award
Established in 2009, the Solar Industry Awards recognise innovative manufacturing and product approaches that have the potential to change the way we live.
PROINSO, the only UK company to feature on the shortlist, has been nominated alongside four other organisations in the Rural Electrification Award category for Project energy storage across the world. OSCAR is a specially built demonstration centre that houses OXIS’ entire solar storage technology.
The Helios. PROINSO and The OXIS Solar Centre for Autonomous Research (OSCAR) launched Project Helios as a launch-pad for cost effective and safe solar.
Project Helios demonstration comprises a 3.8 kWp solar Photovoltaic (PV) power generation system with PROINSO integrated solution and 3 kWh OXIS Lithium Sulfur battery. The mains output is used to power both the charger for the driverless vehicle, the Meridian Navya and the OXIS Lithium Sulfur battery storing the unused excess energy generated during daylight for use after dark.
The system can easily be configured for grid connected operation where the battery is used to increase self-consumption.

PROINSO to showcase latest products at PV JAPAN 2015
In its own stand #P1-305, PROINSO will show the Japanese market the PV products from leading brands it distributes to around the world.
PROINSO is set to expand its presence in Japan. The Japanese market is expected to be one of the top three leading markets in 2015 with a 4GW solar energy production target.
PROINSO has already introduced its affiliated company product of Mecasolar structures to Japan and will be showcasing the OXIS Solar energy storage solutions to the Japanese market.

Residential market <10kw systems will have the big demand for the future even after the commercial boom. By 2030, Japanese government is targeting 22-24% on renewable energy. The single 48V 3 kWh OXIS Lithium sulphur battery, shown in this demonstration, can be expanded to a total of four batteries, stacked and connected in parallel, providing a total storage capacity of 12 kWh, suitable for most domestic installations in Europe. For larger systems, where a more complex arrangement is needed, the 19” Rack Mount Batteries is recommended, and this will be available later this year.

PROINSO Supplies 3 MW for the Largest Rooftop Solar Installation in Latin America
PROINSO supplied 3MW of SMA Sunny Tri Power 24kW Inverters for Honduras’ largest rooftop solar system commissioned last month. The 3MW rooftop installation is the largest solar PV rooftop project in both Honduras and Latin America to date.
Located in San Pedro Sula, Honduras the 3MW rooftop project covers an area of 366,000ft² and sits on top the leading PepsiCo Bottling Plant in the region, EMSULA (Embotelladora de Sula S.A.). The facility bottles soft drinks, juices and purified water and will offset 20% of its energy use. The plant is expected to generate approximately 4,252.4 MWh /year, the equivalent of planting 4.7 million trees. EMSULA added the PV installation to improve the overall energy cost and management of the facility in addition to making a conscious effort to fulfill social and corporate responsibilities.

PROINSO has recently delivered 1.5MW of inverters to EPC, Solar Energy Management, based in Tampa Florida. PROINSO to present new integrated solutions at the Solar Show Africa in Johannesburg
PROINSO will participate in the Solar Show Africa (Booth #A3), to be held in Johannesburg on 24 and 25 March. It is the leading show in the solar power sector in South Africa, with 200 exhibitors from as many as 26 countries and drawing more than 6,000 professional attendees.
Proinso to launch GPM in South Africa, with over 3GW of asset management there is an increasing demand for bankable monitoring and management solutions. PROINSO strengthens its position in Mexico with a new branch
PROINSO has recently opened a new branch in Monterrey, Mexico. Thanks to this new branch, PROINSO, which has 30 Qualified Installers in Mexico, will be able to strengthen its presence in this solar PV market where it has already participated in several projects and will have a 1200 sq. meter warehouse.
Hector Andrade – The Commercial Manager of PROINSO México-, with more than 20 years of experience as Sales Director for Schneider Electric, points at the importance of setting foot in Mexico saying, “The PV power industry is likely to have a brilliant future in Mexico, which is expected to have more than 3,3 GW installed by 2018.” Mexico is the country with the largest PV capacity in Central America, photovoltaic solar energy alone could produce more than 22 times the current production of electricity.
It should be noted that vast areas of the country receive more than 2,000 daylight hours a year, and daily solar radiation amounts to 5 to 7 kWh/m2 on average.

PROINSO Launches EPM Partnership Program in South East Asia on the back of supplying 5MW for an installation in the Philippines
PROINSO supplied 5 MW in PV solar products for an installation located in the Philippines which included SMA Tripower inverters. The supplied facility starts PROINSO sales in this market. This is further evidence of PROINSO’s increasing mandate in the ground mount and roof-top market in South East Asia.
As part of the ongoing program to strengthen the presence in South East Asia, PROINSO will be attending the Cities of the future show in the Great British Festival in Manila (booth #42). The event, which will be held from February 27th to March the 1st, is organized by the British Embassy in Manila.

PROINSO supplies in Barbados a PV-DIESEL hybrid system
PROINSO has recently delivered a PV Diesel Hybrid System for an installation in St. Lucy, Barbados, which combine PV panels and a diesel generator as a backup power source.
The material supplied by Proinso included SMA Sunny Tripower 15000TL, SMA Fuel Save controller and structure. These products were delivered by PROINSO USA, the subsidiary based in Sacramento, California.
The installation will help reduce diesel consumption by 60,000L/year representing 16 % of the total annual fuel consumption with a possible payback in under 5 years. Moreover, this PV Hybrid solution offers independence from rising diesel prices and reduces operating- and maintenance costs.
