06.03.10: PROINSO´S extends it International Networks to 737 qualified installers worldwide

In terms of country, Italy brings together 315 qualified installers, Germany and Spain 104 and 103, respectively, followed by USA (88), France (48) and Greece (43). The Network has also extended to countries like Colombia, Canada, Bangladesh, Romania and Tunisia, among others.

PROINSO is satisfied with the response obtained with the network that has tripled initial estimates by the Spanish multinational which had it sites set on 200 qualified installers by late 2010.

Among other benefits, members of the PROINSO network of qualified installers have preference in the provision of equipment when there is a shortage of modules and inverters, which is the current scenario.

Similarly, depending on the agreements signed by PROINSO with BBVA and Intesa San Paolo, in Spain and Italy there are benefits from preferential financing arrangements. Similar agreements are soon to be signed in the USA, Germany and Greece.

Thanks to the close collaboration between PROINSO and MECASOLAR with the German inverter manufacturer, the Spanish companies put forward the idea to develop a new type of three-phase inverter suited to the tracking market needs among others. As a result of this partnership and strategic relationship between PROINSO and SMA, the first prototypes of the SMA Tripower inverter have been tested during some time... Noteworthy are the excellent field results obtained in a real OPDE 5MW plant in Fustiñana, where it has been installed in one of the MECASOLAR trackers. The new tripower according to SMA will be on the market for the second half of the year. Its main advantages is that this Three-phase system with all its advantages from an electrical standpoint, has less cable in the tracker installation, with an efficiency of 98%, simplifying its installation and maintenance, moreover it is possible to supply the tracker directly from the inverter, it has no transformer and is IP65 outdoor compliant. It reduces installation times, and due to its asymmetric input modules it can be mixed on the same inverter without any loss of performance, useful in installations where old modules need replaced and there is no spare or to make strings of different numbers of modules. In addition, Bluetooth communication is also possible, electronic string fuse and strings fault detection, optimization of production thanks to the Optitrack system, string current monitoring, DC input voltage to 1000VDC, integrable DC surge discharges type II ...

The 5,000 MECASOLAR trackers installed in the photovoltaic solar farms built by Grupo ODPE in Spain resisted gusts that topped 132 km / h, as in the case of Almaraz (Cáceres).

In all cases, the safety mechanism for wind fitted on the MECASOLAR trackers prevented any structural problems and broken panels occurring, according to the company, confirming that, these trackers are the most rigid and mechanically better built on the market.

The Spanish company PROINSO- part of Group OPDE and specialists in the distribution of modules, inverters, trackers and fixed structures for photovoltaic systems, will supply 1 MW of MECASOLAR 2-axis solar trackers for a solar photovoltaic project located in the California district of Madera.

The 2-axis trackers supplied for the project will be manufactured entirely in the new MECASOLAR factory in West Sacramento (California), using local suppliers and labour. The components of the trackers are American UL certified (Underwriters Laboratories), making it easier for MECASOLAR products to obtain the UL certification, and is the only company in its sector acquiring this type of product. The solar project, which will become the largest 2-axis project undertaken by the company in the State of California, will be completed with the addition of REC 220 modules, and SATCON model 500 inverters for the start-up. The calculations estimated by the SOLAR PV TRACKER-Program for calculating energy- with MECASOLAR trackers- estimates that in the district of Madera and with an annual average radiation at 0 ° of 1,850 kWh/m2 year, 2,317 kWh / kWp power output will be obtained for a Ratio Performance of 86%. The above calculation programme can be found on the website of PROINSO (www.proinso.net). With the order for this project, the Spanish company has started to manufacture their trackers entirely in the 6,000 m2 Mecasolar factory in Sacramento. This will facilitate and increase the entry of their products within the Obama Plan to support investment in renewable energy ...

Free of charge and accessible, both in English and Spanish- at www.proinso.net the goal of this new application is to carry out the calculation of photovoltaic solar energy production generated in kWh, based on the kWp of the installation and using both 1 and 2-axis trackers, anywhere in the world.
The company has made the following link available to the media, portals, blogs and other websites wanting to incorporate access to its application on the following link: http://www.proinso.net/_bin/iphone.php. It has also announced the launch next February of the iPhone and Android version incorporating new features and improvements.
Operation: 5 steps

PROINSO has announced a "commercial agreement" with TRINA, the manufacturer of photovoltaic modules through which it undertakes to supply 108 photovoltaic megawatts during 2009-2010. PROINSO reserves the option to buy an additional 12 MW in the first quarter of 2010. This will enable PROINSO´s customers, both EPC contractors and installers, to guarantee their supply in the face of any potential shortage of modules which is expected during Q4-2009 and Q1 and Q2 2010 due to the hefty demand that German and Italian markets will experience. Germany is predicted to end 2009 at 3,000 MW and a further 2,000 MW during the first half of 2010 due to Italy reaching 1,500 MW by September 2010, leading to an increase in demand from investors and for modules causing many projects not to meet deadlines.
Trina Solar, which is defined as a “vertically integrated" company -produces ingots, wafers and cells, and also assembles modules- forecasts that shipments of the pledged material –” some 108 MW" – will begin in the fourth quarter of 2009 and will continue for the first six months of the following year. The modules supplied are for the use of clients that usually work with PROINSO and are expected to be used in photovoltaic solar projects for European markets like Italy, Greece and Spain.
Furthermore, and according to the Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Europe at Trina Solar, Ben Hill, "We are delighted to expand our relationship with PROINSO and are looking forward to continuing the relationship ...
