This is the second PROINSO business activity, Solar Thermal, through which we also offer equipment supply and engineering in all areas related to thermal energy. Thanks to the Solar Thermal Energy systems´, high-performance panels and parts quality, we are able to save on energy consumption for sanitary hot water (around 70 – 80 %) and we have seen notable improvements in heating (around 20 – 30 %). Besides achieving cost savings, we also contribute to reducing pollutant emissions (CO2, NOx, SOx..) and conserving fossil fuel reserves.

The Spanish solar market has founded its growth and fulfilment of the Kyoto objectives -12% Renewable Energies -on building standards that regulate the mandatory installation of solar thermal energy systems in newly built structures, as in the City Ordinances (now in more than 40 municipalities) and the new Technical Building Code.

This indicates that the solar market is going to experience high growth in the upcoming years. Thus, PROINSO offers clients and community neighbours, distributors, installers, builders, architects and public and private housing developers a complete service in engineering and supply of top-grade materials. It is estimated that by 2010 , a total of 4.900.000 m² of thermal solar panels will have been installed for water heating.
