PROINSO installs two solar systems on the rooftops of the Grupo Ramos, La Sirena supermarkets
In partnership with Escala Solar, PROINSO has installed two solar systems on the rooftops of the Grupo Ramos owned La Sirena supermarkets to a high professional standard with the help of a skilled local construction team. Grupo Ramos has the biggest chain of supermarkets in the Dominican Republic and the client had their expectations met in regards to quality, efficiency and the reduction of CO2 emissions. The two solar power systems will:
• Help to reduce CO2 emissions by more than 1,710 tons a year
• Protect the environment (the equivalent of planting over 59,000 trees)
These solar projects have increased the business’s sustainability by allowing Grupo Ramos to use renewable energy as a power source.
To successfully implement the two projects at La Sirena rooftops, Escala Solar’s solar power experts and engineers had to conduct a roof plan survey, prepare feasible design drawings, a bill of materials and implement the project according to the set plan and schedule. During each step of the implementation process Escala Solar’s engineers were there to supervise and encourage the construction unit to complete the works on schedule and to ensure technical standards, guarantee safety and work quality were all met. The client was also satisfied with the O&M service, system operation and maintenance as the project reached a high level of efficiency and output. This in turn demonstrates the the high capability of the local Installer team being a testament to their quality, effectiveness and expertise.
The Completion dates and commissioning dates of the two systems were in April 2021.
