PROINSO & MDC Electrical developed three solar rooftop projects at major AllHome malls in the Philippines
Windsor, United Kingdom (August 22, 2024): PROINSO, in collaboration with local EPC partner MDC Electrical Supplies and Services, has developed three solar rooftop projects at major AllHome malls in the Philippines. These projects, totaling 1,100kW, were successfully engineered, procured, and constructed at the 330kW Vista Mall Tanza, 462kW All Home Kawit, and 308kW All Home San Ildefonso.
AllHome, a prominent retailer in the Philippines, heavily relies on electricity and gasoline to sustain its operations across its network of stores. High energy usage and emissions from generator sets and vehicles have been vital challenges. To address these issues, the primary objective of the Solar Project was to reduce costs, enhance productivity, and promote sustainability by leveraging solar power for daytime activities, including lighting and cooling systems.
This collaboration aligns with AllHome’s commitment to sustainability and its mission to make home improvement products more accessible and affordable to Filipinos. The integration of renewable energy sources has resulted in an estimated 8% to 10% reduction in energy consumption rates for the stores, demonstrating significant benefits for the company.
The strategic partnership with Jinko Solar and Clenergy further underscores AllHome’s pioneering role in the home improvement industry in the Philippines. The successful execution of these solar projects exemplifies the feasibility and advantages of incorporating renewable energy solutions into the construction and furnishing of Filipino homes.
