Project Overviewx
The award‑winning “Best Solar Project of the Year” is a 393.6 kWp solar rooftop development located in Manila, titled “Ten Public Schools Powered with Solar Energy in Manila.” This landmark project supports the Philippine Government’s long‑term renewable energy goals of achieving 20GW of clean energy by 2040 and 35% renewable energy share by 2030.
PROINSO, in partnership with RACATECH and BUILDERS CORP, delivered the project with the objective of generating all the electricity required for each individual school building. Together, these rooftop solar installations form the largest solar energy system for public buildings in Manila, with a combined capacity of 393.6 kWp. All rooftops were equipped with SMA inverters, Jinko Solar panels, and Clenergy mounting structures.
The system reduces over 1,189 tons of CO₂ emissions annually, the environmental equivalent of planting 52,417 trees. It significantly contributes to reducing air pollution and improving public health and overall quality of life.
At PROINSO, we believe that solar energy is on a clear path to becoming a central element in powering future communities. This project exemplifies PROINSO’s dedication to renewable energy development and our commitment to local communities.
PROINSO has been operating in the Philippines since 2009 and has established a strong national presence as one of the earliest solar market leaders. To date, we have supplied, developed, and provided consultancy services for over 200MW of solar projects across the residential, commercial, and industrial sectors.
