Project Overviewx
El Salvador is emerging as a leading example of energy transition in Central America, with new national policies promoting a culture of energy efficiency and responsible energy use. As part of this shift toward cleaner power generation, PROINSO and its local partner MONTELEC, S.A. de C.V successfully executed a 450 kWp solar rooftop project on the facilities of La Aduana San Bartolo, a public institution responsible for facilitating and supervising international trade.
For this installation, the project was equipped with 385 GCL Mono solar panels and 9 SMA Core 1 STP50 inverters, ensuring high performance, reliability and long‑term operational efficiency. This solar system directly contributes to El Salvador’s broader environmental goals by reducing grid dependency, supporting national sustainability efforts and promoting significant CO₂ reduction through clean energy generation.
